A shutdown . is often put into play to try and get the other side to capitulate on issues but in this case, it is going to happen because the Republicans are fighting with each other over who is the Real Speaker of the House. The right-wing or the speaker is chosen by the entire House Republican caucus.
If we, the Republican people could choose from a group of proposed speakers things could get just a little better for the Republican Party. It would also work well for the Democrats.
They all went home while the Government shuts down
